Online Course: Preparing for Disaster – A Guide for Music Therapists

Location: Online/Self Study
Course Cost: July 1, 2017 – May 30, 2018. Free. In lieu of course fees, participants must put together disaster kit.
Online Course Description
This CMTE is aimed at helping the music therapy professional prepare their home and clinic for natural disaster.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from a survivor of disaster and will be walked through important steps toward home and business preparation. Preparation for music therapy practice (office, home office, car) is required for CMTE credits.
Course participants will be able to:
- Documentation of their business materials including instruments and certification records
- Considered planning and purchasing supplies for disaster preparation as a part of their budget
- Identified safety procedures for their clinic space, including considerations of client abilities.
